Quality Assurance Manager

About the CompanyAn international engineering and construction company is seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control on a high-specification manufacturing facility in Riyadh. This opportunity is open to professionals from MEP, civil or architectural backgrounds, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked within Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) environments. Experience on industrial or oil and gas projects will be particularly relevant.About the RoleThe role requires someone who combines practical project delivery experience with exceptional discipline in quality documentation, compliance and record management. The successful candidate will take ownership of the accuracy, completeness and traceability of quality records throughout the project lifecycle, from engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning and handover.The Role You will lead the implementation and monitoring of project quality requirements, ensuring that works meet contractual specifications, applicable standards and client expectations. Working closely with engineering, procurement, construction and project management teams, you will establish clear quality controls and ensure that compliance is supported by complete, accurate and auditable documentation. Documentation is a central responsibility of this position. We are looking for someone who is exceptionally thorough: a professional who identifies missing evidence, inconsistent records, incomplete approvals and gaps in traceability, and follows each issue through to closure.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement and maintain project quality plans, quality procedures and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).Ensure quality requirements are embedded across engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover activities.Oversee the preparation, review, approval and maintenance of quality documentation, including inspection requests, material approvals, test reports, inspection checklists, method statements and supporting records.Maintain clear document status tracking, revision control and traceability in coordination with document control and project teams.Verify that inspection and testing records are complete, correctly referenced and supported by the required approvals and evidence.Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions and quality observations, ensuring root causes are addressed and closure is properly documented.Conduct internal audits, site inspections and supplier or subcontractor quality assessments.Monitor subcontractor and supplier compliance with project specifications, approved procedures and contractual quality requirements.Coordinate with clients, consultants, third-party inspectors and internal stakeholders on inspections, audits and quality approvals.Identify quality risks early and work with project teams to prevent recurring defects, rework and documentation shortfalls.Report on quality performance, outstanding inspections, NCR status and documentation readiness.Oversee the compilation and verification of quality dossiers, turnover packages and final handover records.QualificationsRequired Experience and Qualifications A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in project quality assurance and quality control, with demonstrated responsibility for managing quality activities on complex projects.A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or a relevant technical discipline.A professional background in MEP, civil or architectural works.Strong working knowledge of quality management systems, project quality planning, inspections, testing and non-conformance management.Proven experience managing substantial volumes of technical and quality documentation with a high degree of accuracy.The ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contractual requirements and applicable codes and standards.Experience coordinating quality requirements across multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and suppliers.Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear reports and maintain well-structured records.Required SkillsMethodical, organised and exceptionally attentive to detail.Comfortable challenging incomplete submissions, following up on outstanding actions and maintaining rigorous standards under project delivery pressure.Ability to connect what is happening on site with what is recorded in the project documentation, ensuring that completed work is properly inspected, verified and evidenced.Preferred SkillsPreferred Experience EPC project experience, with an understanding of the interfaces between engineering, procurement and construction.Experience delivering industrial, oil and gas or similarly complex, specification-driven projects.Experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC.ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification or a relevant quality management qualification.Experience preparing quality dossiers and managing documentation requirements for commissioning, turnover and final acceptance.What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will be methodical, organised and exceptionally attentive to detail.
