This role oversees quality assurance activities, corrective and preventive action programs, supplier quality performance, and root cause investigations to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standards. The Quality Assurance Manager works closely with Engineering, Production, Sales, Purchasing, and supplier partners to drive continuous improvement, reduce risk, and enhance overall product quality and operational performance. The position leads ISO/IATF certification efforts, internal and external audits, quality system maintenance, and compliance initiatives while ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer concerns, SCARs, CAPAs, and quality alerts. Success in this position requires strong leadership, analytical problem-solving skills, customer-focused decision-making, and a commitment to quality, compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Act as the “voice of the customer” as it pertains to quality for all parts, products and service manufactured or provided by Camisasca and its assigned suppliers and vendors. Ensure the activities of all departments are in keeping with our Quality Policy & System.Responsible to oversee Liaison with customers’ Quality and Engineering Teams. Engage with vendors on quality concerns with root causes based upstream.Approve creation and/or revision of Receiving Plans in 1 Factory based upon data driven results; monitor work order results for department and Manager compliance.Initiate and approve creation and revisions of all Quality Guides and Nonconforming Goods Work Instructions. Instruct Managers in proper training of personnel. Monitor the use and application of quality tools on the production floor; including but not limited to visual boards, cosmetic guides, calibrated gages, jigs, QA Memos, etc.Review of customer provided scorecards, SCARs, and CAPAs. Reporting on anomalies and coordinating response efforts when required.Manage responses to Quality Alerts and MRB investigations; identify trends and conditions requiring intervention. Ensure adequate documentation of results and decisions are kept.Provide organizational guidance on need for all CAPA’s and SCAR’s as required according to customer and internal needs in order to mitigate risk and business exposure. Facilitate cross-functional teams to determine root cause, containment, and corrective actions through timely conclusion. Review and approve control document updates and final resolution as necessary.Engage in appropriate training for quality related instructions, schooling and seminars as identified and directed.Oversee improvements identified in monitoring and analysis of First Past Yield and Fallout. Identify trends (SPC) and opportunities for improvement through retraining, process improvements, etc.In conjunction with Engineering Manager, oversee gage calibration and control to ensure correct functionality and condition of all in process gages and jigs. Monitor management & staff QA approval stamps.Review and approve production film and equipment files as required.ISO:Perform review of QMS as well as Management Leadership Team meetings, as required.Lead ISO/IATF maintenance and improvement efforts with Upper Management Support.Lead Internal, Customer, and Annual ISO Certification/Recertification Audits through successful completion. Prepare and supply auditor evidence of internal controls and appropriately respond to findings.In conjunction with Engineering Manager oversee Internal and External Audits of QMS, Products, Vendors, Processes, etc. including Schedule, Review, and Validation.Monitor areas of concern (Lessons Learned) and opportunities for improvement (Continuous Improvement) coordinating department manager’s responses to satisfactory conclusion and validation.Regularly review department work instructions (SOPs) and related control documents to maintain organizational value, business relevance, and compliance with ISO/IATF requirements.Lead CAPAs and SCARs as requiredGeneral:Conduct daily departmental meetings to align staff with needs of the business, strategy and goals, challenges, and successes. Provide daily status reports to management team. In conjunction with Engineering Manager lead Monthly Department Status meetings determining appropriate topics for discussion.Manage departments’ staff to follow company policies and training while mentoring direct reports to meet individual and company goals. Perform employee reviews and disciplinary as required.Review department work instructions (SOPs) and related control documents to maintain organizational value and compliance to ISO/IATF requirements.Support Sales, Production, and Purchasing to ensure 3rd Party regulatory requirements are completed on time and documented as required (MMOGLE, Conflict Materials, etc.).Follow, establish, and police departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, lessons learned, safety requirements, and resolve any issues or delays in all areas of responsibility.Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of production and engineering spaces are kept to our very high standards in all areas (5S).Administrator for manufacturing quality software, 1Factory.Perform miscellaneous job-related duties and projects as assigned.Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of production spaces are kept to our very high standards in all areas (5S)QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
