Quality Control Inspector

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with precision inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, dimensional inspection, CMM operation, and quality control procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect complex components and verify conformance to engineering specifications.Utilize Calypso software to perform CMM inspections and interpret measurement results.Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T symbols, and technical specifications.Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and routine dimensional inspections throughout the manufacturing process.Accurately document inspection results and prepare quality reports for internal and customer requirements.Identify, document, and communicate non-conformances to production and engineering teams.Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions related to quality issues.Maintain and verify the calibration status of inspection equipment and measuring tools.Work closely with engineering and production personnel to resolve dimensional and quality-related issues.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving product quality, inspection processes, and manufacturing efficiency.Maintain an organized, clean, and safe inspection area in accordance with company safety procedures.Ensure all inspection activities comply with applicable quality standards and customer specifications.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical education or certification in Quality Control, Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is a plus.3+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments, including:MicrometersCalipersHeight gaugesGauges and other precision inspection toolsProficiency operating CMM equipment is required.Calypso experience is required.Strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing/blueprint interpretation.Understanding of dimensional inspection techniques and quality control processes.Knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and communicate quality issues effectively.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and move materials or components weighing up to 25 pounds.Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, and reach as required.Ability to work with small, prec
