Quality Control Inspector

SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Quality Lead, the Quality Control Inspector performs inspections of products, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards. This position is responsible for identifying and documenting defects, maintaining quality records, and supporting quality improvement efforts by reporting quality concerns. The Quality Control Inspector works closely with the Quality team and Manufacturing to help ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES· Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods according to established quality standards.· Identify, document, and report defects, nonconforming materials, and quality concerns.· Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records and documentation.· Use basic measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify product specifications.· Assist with internal quality audits and quality improvement initiatives as assigned.· Assist in verifying that corrective actions have been implemented as directed.· Communicate quality concerns with Manufacturing and the Quality team.· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all company safety policies.· Support quality assurance activities and perform other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.· Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.· Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and inspection procedures.· Ability to use basic measuring devices and inspection tools or learn their proper use.· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.· Effective verbal and written communication skills.· Ability to work independently after training and as part of a team.· Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.· Knowledge of workplace safety practices and the ability to maintain a safe work environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or quality inspection.· Experience using basic measuring tools, such as tape measures, calipers, rulers, and gauges.· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement concepts is a plus.
