Quality Control Manager

Role Description The Quality Control Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This role is responsible for overseeing all quality control activities within the manufacturing and laboratory environments, ensuring that products consistently meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include developing and maintaining quality control procedures, supervising sampling and testing processes, reviewing and approving quality documentation, and monitoring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and other relevant regulations. The Quality Control Manager collaborates closely with production, R&D, and regulatory teams to investigate nonconformities, lead root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions. The role also involves training and mentoring quality control staff, preparing reports and quality metrics for management, supporting internal and external audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational reliability.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in quality control within cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing environments.Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, and relevant national and international regulatory standards for pharmaceuticals or life sciences.Proficiency in developing, implementing, and improving quality procedures, SOPs, and documentation systems.Ability to lead investigations, conduct root cause analyses, and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Experience supervising laboratory and production quality activities, including sampling, testing, and release of raw materials and finished products.Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on data-driven decision-making.Effective leadership and people management capabilities, including team supervision, coaching, and performance feedback.Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and interact with auditors and regulators.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
