Quality Electrical Testing Engineer

Key Job Responsibilities:QC Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing and troubleshooting of LV/MV switchgears, Control gears, Motor Starters, advanced relay testing, and programming, wiring diagram reading / modification / red-markup, control system trouble shooting, protection scheme verifications & modification and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) management.Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide junior engineers / technicians, ensuring adherence to best practices in testing processes.Troubleshooting: Proactively diagnose and resolve technical challenges during QC Testing.Compliance & Standards: Ensure all projects comply with IEC, IEEE, SAMSS, IOGP, and local industry standards, with a strong focus on safety and regulatory requirements.Documentation: Prepare and review detailed test reports, and capable to write technical reports to ensure quality control and traceability.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancement and introduce innovative testing methodologies to improve system reliability and efficiency.Competencies:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.Good Customer / Client / Consultant / Production Supervisors / Management interaction skills.Excellent English speaking and writing.Professional Skills:Extensive experience with relay testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and power system analysis.Deep understanding of LV/MV protection schemes and substation operations.Thorough knowledge of IEC, SAMSS, IOGP and other relevant industry standards.Experience:Minimum of 5 - 8 years of progressive experience in QC testing / Site Testing and commissioning of electrical substations. Preferable in Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
