Job Overview:The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products, processes, design, testing, manufacturing, maintenance, and repair activities meet established quality, technical, QHSE, and regulatory requirements. The role supports the development and implementation of effective quality management systems, inspection and testing processes, audits, risk management, nonconformance management, and continuous improvement activities.The Quality Engineer works closely with the QHSE Manager and operational teams to maintain compliance with applicable standards, identify and resolve quality and QHSE issues, prevent recurrence, and support a strong culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Support the QHSE Manager in establishing and maintaining an effective, business-oriented quality framework compliant with applicable ISO and industry requirements.Establish and maintain quality objectives aligned with organizational goals and project requirements.Define, document, implement, and continuously improve quality control and assurance processes and procedures.Develop and implement inspection and testing protocols across design, manufacturing, testing, maintenance, and repair activities.Verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, technical requirements, quality standards, and applicable QHSE requirements.Conduct and oversee quality inspections, workplace inspections, and internal audits to verify compliance with established procedures and standards.Support risk assessment and hazard identification activities related to quality and operational processes.Support incident investigations and identify appropriate corrective and preventive actions.Identify, document, and manage non-conformances and oversee corrective actions and CAPA activities.Perform root cause analysis for quality and QHSE-related failures and non-conformances and support the implementation of effective corrective actions.Ensure quality assurance and QHSE activities are effectively integrated into project and operational workflows.Maintain comprehensive records of quality and QHSE activities, inspections, audits, non-conformances, corrective actions, and related documentation.Prepare and maintain inspection reports, NCRs, audit reports, QHSE reports, KPI reports, and other relevant management system documentation.Monitor quality and QHSE KPIs and support reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure applicable quality and QHSE regulatory and compliance requirements are identified and maintained.Work closely with maintenance, repair, manufacturing, engineering, and other operational teams to resolve quality and QHSE concerns.Liaise with external partners, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders to address quality issues and support compliance.Establish and monitor corrective actions to ensure identified issues are effectively resolved and do not recur.Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to Quality Technicians and support operational teams in maintaining required quality and QHSE standards.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process performance, compliance, and operational effectiveness.Perform reverse engineering activities and utilize relevant tools and equipment such as 3D scanners, CNC, and CMM machines when required.Qualifications & Requirements:Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field; Bachelor's degree is preferred.Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Quality Management Systems, with relevant experience in QHSE within engineering, manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, MRO, or similar technical environments.Experience working within quality management systems and implementing quality control and assurance processes.Good knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.Knowledge of applicable QHSE regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.Experience in risk assessment, workplace inspections, internal audits, and incident investigations.Strong knowledge of nonconformance management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and CAPA.Solid understanding of quality principles and practices, including First Article Inspection (FAI).Knowledge of industry-specific standards and requirements, including ISO 9001 and AS 9100.Experience preparing quality and QHSE reports, KPIs, audit documentation, NCRs, and management system records.Ability to conduct inspections and engage effectively with operational and technical teams.Experience in reverse engineering and working with tools and equipment such as 3D scanners, CNC, and CMM machines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.Good written and spoken English with strong report-writing and communication skills.ISO Internal Auditor certification in at least one relevant standard is preferred.NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification is preferred.ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification or a related quality certification is preferred.Strong teamwork, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and operational teams and support a culture of quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
