Quality Engineering and Test Automation and API Automation Detailed Requirements (Technical Skillset)Qualifications:Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field.Experience:3+ YearsKnowledge & Technical Skills:Strong hands-on experience in designing and building automation test frameworks from scratch.Strong understanding and experience of QA practices following Test Pyramid & shift left strategies.Proficient in Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured for effective UI and API test automation. Nice to have – Playwright.Hands-on experience with software development platforms, particularly Jenkins, GitLab.Demonstrates an AI-first mindset, actively using AI to improve efficiency and quality.Capable of performing thorough code reviews, ensuring high standards of quality and maintainability as defined by EK.Comfortable adopting and operating AI-enabled tools within the EK ecosystem.Practical experience with AI tools such as Copilot, GitLab Duo, Claude code. including effective use of prompt engineering across different models.Strong communication skills to work effectively with multiple teams, ensuring proactive collaboration and engagement.Experience in test strategy, test planning, test case design, execution, defect management, and test reporting.
