Onsite in Northern New Jersey.About the CompanySmall, privately-owned engineering and manufacturing companyNearly 100 years in operationISO certified with experienced engineering teamStrong government contract portfolioFlat organizational structure with minimal bureaucracyKey ResponsibilitiesInspectionPerform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of precision machined components and pump assembliesDimensional inspection using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and indicatorsProgram and operate CMM equipment for complex part verificationComplete first article inspections on new and repaired componentsQuality Systems & DocumentationInterpret engineering drawings and apply GD&TMaintain inspection records within the ISO quality systemWrite non-conformance reports and support root cause and corrective actionSupport government source inspections and customer auditsMaintain the gauge calibration programCross-Functional WorkWork with machinists, assemblers, and engineering to resolve quality issuesSupport disposition of non-conforming materialPerform receiving inspection on supplier partsRequired Qualifications5+ years of quality inspection in a precision machining or manufacturing environmentCMM experience (programming strongly preferred)Strong blueprint reading and GD&T proficiencyHands-on with precision measurement instrumentsExperience working within ISO 9001 quality systems; military or government spec experience a plusPump or rotating equipment component experience preferredComfortable in a machine shop environmentCompensation & BenefitsUp to $40/hour, based on experienceFull benefits packageBetter work-life balance than large corporations
