Quant AI Engineer — New Systematic Trading Venture (DIFC, Dubai)Who we are. We are an established debt and M&A advisory boutique with offices in London and Dubai (DIFC). After years advising institutional clients on complex transactions, we are launching a new venture: an AI-native systematic trading operation, built from the ground up around LLMs and machine learning — applied to research, signal generation, and execution.This is not a corporate innovation lab. It’s a founding team of three: the CEO, one AI engineer, and you.The role. You’ll be a founding Quant AI Engineer with end-to-end ownership of the quantitative stack — from research and backtesting to production deployment. Working directly with the CEO means your work goes from idea to live capital in days, not quarters.What you’ll do:• Design, backtest, and optimize native AI/systematic trading and advisiory strategies across algorithmic, hedge-fund, and long-only mandates• Build LLM-driven research pipelines — extracting signals and market insights from unstructured data (filings, news, transcripts, alternative data)• Take models from notebook to production: robust, monitored, live• Shape the architecture, the tooling, and the culture of a trading operation from day oneWhat you bring:• Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative field (Master’s or PhD a plus)• 3-6 years building and backtesting trading strategies — at a fund, prop shop, or as a serious independent with a verifiable track record• Excellent Python; comfort owning a codebase end to end• Hands-on experience applying LLMs to research, analytics, or trading workflows (RAG, fine-tuning, agentic pipelines)• Appetite for early-stage ownership and asymmetric rewardWhy this beats a fund seat:• Uncapped performance bonus tied directly to strategy P&L — when your strategies work, you’re compensated like a partner, not an employee• Backed by an established, revenue-generating advisory firm — startup upside without startup fragility• Direct line to the CEO; zero layers, zero politics• Dubai/DIFC base: 0% personal income tax — your bonus is yours• Founding-team influence on everything that gets builtIf you’ve watched your alpha pay for someone else’s bonus pool, this is the other side of that trade.
