Quant Software Engineer

Engineers work directly alongside investment and business teams to build the platforms, systems, and tools that power day-to-day decision-making across the firm.They are seeking a Software Engineer to join a Front Office Technology team responsible for developing business-critical applications used across trading, operations, finance, and data functions.This is a highly visible role offering end-to-end ownership of projects, direct interaction with stakeholders, and the opportunity to work on large-scale distributed systems, data platforms, and modern AI tooling.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable backend applications and distributed systems. Develop internal platforms, APIs, and data-driven services used across the business.Work directly with front-office and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.Contribute to architecture, system design, and long-term technology strategy.Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of existing systems.Contribute to AI-enabled applications and workflows where appropriate.Requirements2+ years of experience building production software. Strong development experience in Java, C#, Scala, Kotlin, or a similar languageExperience building backend systems, distributed applications, or data-intensive platforms.Strong understanding of databases, SQL, and system integration.Ability to take ownership of projects from requirements through to productionStrong communication skills and experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Nice to HaveExperience with messaging, streaming, or event-driven architectures.Exposure to cloud technologies, containers, or modern infrastructure tooling.Experience working in financial services or other fast-paced, data-rich environments.Interest in AI, developer productivity tooling, or platform engineering.Previous mentoring or leadership experience.
