Quantitative Researcher – Global HFT Firm – AmsterdamWe are partnered with a rapidly growing quantitative trading firm that spun out of a top-tier trading firm six years ago, originally being its highest-performing HFT team.The firm has grown to around 100 employees globally and continues to expand internationally, with crypto trading across China, connections to 14 exchanges, a growing Taiwan operation, and plans to expand into Brazil and Hong Kong.This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team at a key stage of its global growth.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Quantitative Researcher to join the firm's growing research team. You will work closely with traders, developers and senior decision-makers to develop systematic trading strategies across global markets.You will have significant ownership over your research, with the opportunity to see your work directly influence live trading strategies and the wider business.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and research systematic trading strategies across multiple markets.Analyse large datasets to identify trading opportunities and market inefficiencies.Develop, test and validate statistical and mathematical models.Conduct backtesting and strategy evaluation, analysing performance and risk.Work closely with traders and developers to take research ideas into production.Improve existing strategies and research methodologies.Explore new markets as the firm continues its global expansion.Present research findings and ideas clearly to senior stakeholders.MarketsPotential exposure includes:CMEIndia OptionsChina & Taiwan EquitiesDelta OneKorean MarketsCryptoQualifications3–8 years' experience in quantitative research, systematic trading or a similar role.Strong academic background in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or a related field.Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.Strong understanding of statistics, probability, optimisation and quantitative modelling.Experience developing and evaluating systematic trading strategies.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.We are also open to exceptionally strong candidates who don't meet every requirement but demonstrate outstanding quantitative ability and relevant research experience.Why Join?High ownership: Direct influence over live trading strategies.High visibility: Work closely with senior decision-makers.Collaborative culture: Close interaction between researchers, traders and engineers.Global expansion: Help build new strategies and enter new markets.Meaningful impact: Join while the firm is still scaling, giving you the opportunity to shape its future.Strong team stability: No departures from the core team to date.
