Team members join a mission-driven environment committed to long-term social impact and nation-building.Role Description The Quran Teacher Fundraiser role is a full-time remote position responsible for combining Quran education with fundraising activities that support Wendi Foundation’s programs. Day-to-day tasks include teaching Quran to learners of different ages and backgrounds using inclusive, structured curricula and methods, and providing guidance on spiritual growth and ethical conduct. The role also involves planning and implementing fundraising campaigns, engaging potential donors and partners, and creating compelling messages and materials that communicate Wendi’s mission and impact. The Quran Teacher Fundraiser will collaborate with program and communications teams, track fundraising outcomes, and ensure that teaching and fundraising activities align with Wendi’s values and community needs. This position requires self-management, regular reporting, and effective online communication and collaboration.Qualifications Strong knowledge of the Quran, Tajweed, and Islamic teachings, with the ability to teach learners at different levels in a clear, structured, and compassionate way.Experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or resource mobilization for non-profit or community-based initiatives, including planning and executing campaigns.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare lesson materials, write persuasive fundraising content, and present Wendi’s mission to diverse audiences.Digital literacy and comfort with remote work tools (video conferencing, learning platforms, email, and basic office software) to deliver online classes and manage fundraising activities.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance teaching responsibilities and fundraising goals in a full-time remote setting.Demonstrated commitment to community development, education, and empowerment, preferably with experience in non-profit or faith-based organizations.Diploma or degree in Islamic Studies, Education, Social Sciences, Non-Profit Management, or a related field is an advantage; equivalent experience will also be considered.Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages used in Uganda is an added asset.
