The role of the Quality Lead is to analyze and drive improvements in every aspect of the value chain, from the time an opportunity is identified to the time the last unit is installed and Quality lead will work closely in Improvement Initiative. Essential Responsibilities: The QUALITY LEAD will lead all engineering improvements initiatives and provide guidance to black belts and the lean six sigma team. Demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will develop and re-engineer Quality processes to meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues, lead driving improvements, and contribute to the overall business strategy. In conjunction with other Quality team members, serve as a change agent in institutionalizing Lean Six Sigma quality across business segments. Lead SS BB and Lean resources towards effective execution of strategy and specific project deliverables Execute required QUALITY LEAD training to become certified and be enabled to train GB classes Enhance and develop metrics for key engineering processes; make visible and hold people accountable Drive improvements and standardization of tools used for driving Quality success Ensure all projects are measurable and providing significant impact to the business aligned with the Quality Big Y's and Engineering pain points. Execute high impact, cross functional QUALITY LEAD projects to drive COQ / defect reduction, cycle time reduction, on-time delivery.
