Type: Full-timeStart Date: As soon as possibleLocation: Hybrid/ Office in the heart of RotterdamAbout MO4MO4 (Mocean Forecast B.V.) builds vessel monitoring hardware and workability forecasting software for offshore wind. We combine motion measurements from our onboard hardware with weather forecasting to tell crews and operators, up to seven days out, whether a job is workable. Our clients include Ørsted, Equinor, Vattenfall, North Star and Windward Offshore. We're about 15 people, based in Rotterdam.How we workWe move fast and we expect ownership. If something needs doing, do it don't wait for a meeting to approve it. We'd rather you make a call and adjust course than sit on a decision. Communication is direct: if something's wrong, say so, to the person involved, not around them. If you need long approval chains to feel comfortable, this isn't the place. If you want to get things done and see the result of your work fast, it is.The roleSome weeks you're on a vessel in the North Sea, other weeks you're at the office in Rotterdam and the work on each side feeds directly into the other. You install and troubleshoot our hardware on CTVs and SOVs across Western Europe, and back in the office you use what you learned in the field to make the system better.Your time splits between on-site installations and office-based R&D, depending on the project schedule. It's not a fixed rotation, when there's an install, you're often away in the field across Western Europe; when there isn't, you're back at the office improving the product, with the freedom to take time off between projects.This isn't a role where R&D and field work happen to sit in the same job description.
