We are a preferred partner for several leading healthcare organisations due to the high quality of our products and services.Role OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled and research-driven Genetic Research Scientist to join our growing Research & Development (R&D) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic and research background in genetics/genomics, a proven record of publishing peer-reviewed research, and hands-on experience with Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) and Polygenic Risk Scores (PRS).The successful candidate will contribute to genetic and genomic research projects, analyse complex genetic datasets, conduct high-quality scientific research, and translate findings into peer-reviewed publications and clinically relevant insights.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct peer-reviewed research in genetics, genomics, and related areasDesign, conduct, and contribute to Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) and related genetic analysesDevelop, validate, and apply Polygenic Risk Scores (PRS) where appropriateAnalyse and interpret genetic and genomic datasets using appropriate statistical and research methodologiesIdentify genetic associations and translate research findings into meaningful scientific insightsPrepare manuscripts, reports, abstracts, and other scientific materials for publicationPublish research findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals and contribute to the development of high-quality research publicationsConduct literature reviews and remain up to date with developments in genetics, genomics, statistical genetics, and related fieldsCollaborate with clinical, scientific, data, and R&D teams on research projectsMaintain high standards of scientific integrity, research quality, documentation, and data interpretationRequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field. A PhD is an advantageMinimum 3 years of relevant experience in genetic, genomic, or biomedical researchDemonstrated experience with Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS)Proven experience in developing and/or applying Polygenic Risk Scores (PRS)A demonstrated record of publishing peer-reviewed research in scientific journalsExperience conducting and communicating peer-reviewed genetic/genomic researchStrong understanding of genetic research methodologies, statistical genetics, and genomic data analysisStrong scientific writing and communication skillsCandidates must be able to provide evidence of relevant published research/publicationsBenefitsAt SIBIE Ltd, as a global organisation operating across Europe, the US, the UK, and the UAE, we offer visa sponsorship.
