The RJ will host music shows, engage listeners, and create a fun, entertaining on-air experience that builds audience loyalty. If you have personality, great timing, and love connecting with people, this is for you.Key Responsibilities:On-Air HostingHost live music programs, request shows, countdowns, and entertainment segmentsIntroduce songs, artists, and station promos with energy and personalityMaintain smooth transitions between music, ads, jingles, and announcementsManage live shows: timing, ad breaks, and technical cuesContent & Audience EngagementDevelop creative show ideas, topics, and banter that fit the station’s formatEngage listeners via phone-ins, SMS, WhatsApp, and social media during showsStay updated on music, pop culture, trends, and current affairs to keep content freshRepresent the station at events, roadshows, and community activationsProduction SupportWork with producers and sound engineers to ensure quality broadcastRecord voiceovers, promos, and station IDsAdhere to NBC broadcasting code and station editorial guidelinesRequired Qualifications & SkillsEducation: OND/Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mass Communication, Theatre Arts, or related field. Relevant experience may substituteExperience: 3-5 years experience as an RJ, presenter, or content creator. Demo reel requiredVoice & Delivery: Excellent diction, voice control, and strong on-air personalityCommunication: Quick thinking, witty, and able to hold a conversation on-airMusic Knowledge: Good knowledge of Nigerian and international music trendsTech Skills: Basic knowledge of broadcast software, mixers, and audio editing toolsPersonality: Confident, outgoing, creative, and able to work flexible hoursPreferred Skills:Active social media presence and ability to drive engagementExperience with podcasting, digital content, or event hostingExisting fan base/listener following is an added advantageWorking Conditions:Shift work including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidaysFast-paced studio environment with live broadcast demandsHow to Apply:Interested candidates should send their CV and cover letter to omekaguchisom@gehilaw.com
