Apply & track with Apply EdgeNow Hiring: Radiologic Technologist – Direct HireLocation: Harrison, NYShift: DaysSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PMGuaranteed Hours: 40 hours per weekPay Range: $40.04 – $49.92 per hourKey ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostic and selected special-procedure radiographic examinations.Prepare, identify, and properly position patients according to examination protocols.Produce high-quality diagnostic images and review examinations for accuracy and completeness.Operate, maintain, and care for radiology equipment and accessories.Assist radiologists and physicians during procedures as required.Follow radiation safety principles to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and others.Perform equipment quality assurance and calibration activities as required.Maintain clean and safe work areas and report equipment malfunctions appropriately.Process images and prepare CDs or other imaging records when required.Document patient information in the hospital's RIS, PACS, and other applicable systems.Review previous reports and images as needed.Coordinate patient transportation to and from the Radiology department.Communicate preliminary or wet readings to attending physicians when required and document communications appropriately.Provide clinical instruction and guidance to students.Provide professional, courteous, and patient-focused service.Educate patients and families regarding ordered examinations and procedures.Provide appropriate care for patients across all age groups, including newborns, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.Participate in quality assurance, staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education.Provide coverage during emergencies, holidays, overtime, on-call assignments, and other shifts as department needs require.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma required.Certificate from an accredited radiography school, allied health program, or hospital-based radiography program required.ARRT certification – RT(R) required upon hire.New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License required upon hire, or NYS DOH Limited Permit upon hire.NYS DOH IV Certification required within 180 days, if applicable.BLS certification through the American Heart Association required within 90 days.Must maintain continuing education requirements in accordance with applicable governing bodies.Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.Ability to respond effectively to rapidly changing patient and departmental needs.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.Ability to operate computers, imaging equipment, and other medical devices continuously as required.#RadiologicTechnologist #RadiologyJobs #RadiologyTechnologist #XRayTech #Radiology #HealthcareJobs #MedicalImaging #ARRT #BLS #WhitePlainsNY #HarrisonNY #NewYorkJobs #DirectHire
