Job DescriptionOur client, a community hospital serving a culturally diverse area of New York City, is hiring a Radiologist, Breast Imaging. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team specializing in women's imaging and breast diagnostics. The role involves using advanced imaging technology to deliver high-quality patient care within a supportive, inclusive environment. The hospital emphasizes work-life balance, professional development, and employee well-being, making it an ideal setting for experienced radiologists committed to excellence in breast imaging.ResponsibilitiesPerform approximately 11,000 mammogram studies and around 1,100 biopsies annually. Utilize cutting-edge equipment, including 3-D Hologic Dimension machines, stereotactic systems, CT scanners, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. Collaborate with the Mammography and Women's Imaging department to provide diagnostic and screening services. Conduct biopsies and diagnostic mammograms, working closely alongside full-time mammographers, nurses, technologists, and the Breast Imaging Supervisor. Potentially participate in faculty activities at a top medical school, depending on interest and qualifications. RequirementsMinimum of 3 years of experience in radiology, with specialized training or experience in breast imaging highly preferred. Board-certified or eligible in Radiology. Licensed to practice radiology in the State of New York. Ability to perform biopsies and diagnostic mammograms is essential. Additional beneficial skills include ultrasound proficiency and familiarity with advanced imaging technology. Candidates with visa status (including transfer visas) are accepted.
