The hospital is FCRA compliant, enabling it to receive international contributions to support patient care and research initiatives.Role Description The Radiologist role at VHS is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The Radiologist will perform and interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and mammography, to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Daily responsibilities include reviewing imaging requests, ensuring appropriate imaging protocols, issuing timely and clear reports, and collaborating closely with referring clinicians and multidisciplinary teams. The role also involves maintaining high standards of patient safety and comfort, adhering to radiation safety guidelines, and contributing to quality improvement in imaging services. The Radiologist may participate in teaching, case discussions, and clinical research activities aligned with the hospital’s mission of affordable and high-quality care.Qualifications Strong foundational knowledge and training in Medicine, with the ability to integrate clinical information into imaging interpretations.Advanced expertise in Radiology, including the performance and interpretation of common diagnostic imaging modalities.Competence in Nuclear Medicine for relevant diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures, where applicable.Specialized skills in Medical Imaging techniques, such as CT, MRI, ultrasound, and conventional radiography.Proficiency in Mammography, including screening and diagnostic breast imaging and reporting.Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and a postgraduate qualification in Radiology (MD/DNB or equivalent), with valid medical registration in India.Commitment to ethical practice, patient-centered care, and serving diverse socioeconomic populations.Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, with clear written and verbal communication skills.Experience in teaching, mentoring, or clinical research is an advantage.Willingness to adhere to institutional protocols, quality standards, and continuous professional development.
