The clinic aims to provide accessible diagnostic services to the local community while maintaining high clinical standards.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Radiologist role based at New Life Diagnostic (Apollo Clinic) in Port Blair. The Radiologist will interpret a wide range of medical imaging studies, including X-rays, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and mammography, and provide clear, evidence-based reports to referring healthcare professionals. Daily responsibilities include reviewing imaging requests, ensuring appropriate imaging protocols, supervising and guiding imaging technicians, and verifying image quality. The role also involves consulting with clinicians on complex cases, participating in multidisciplinary discussions when needed, and contributing to patient safety through adherence to radiation protection and clinical guidelines. The Radiologist is expected to maintain accurate documentation, support continuous quality improvement initiatives, and stay current with advances in radiology and imaging practices.Qualifications Strong foundation in Medicine with appropriate medical degree and valid registration/license to practice.Demonstrated expertise in Radiology and Medical Imaging, including interpretation of X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI studies.Experience or training in specialized areas such as Nuclear Medicine and Mammography, with the ability to apply relevant safety and quality standards.Excellent clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to produce clear, concise, and timely radiology reports.Commitment to patient safety, radiation protection, and adherence to evidence-based protocols and regulatory requirements.Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with clinicians, technologists, and other healthcare staff.Ability to work on-site in Port Blair in a full-time capacity and adapt to the needs of a busy diagnostic environment.Prior experience in a diagnostic center, hospital, or similar clinical setting is preferred; familiarity with digital imaging systems (PACS/RIS) is an advantage.
