This includes assessing patient condition, operating imaging equipment, proficiency in PACS, preparing examination rooms, and maintaining equipment, supplies, and medications. Technologists are also required to maintain necessary patient records and participate in the departmental performance improvement program. Technologists also function as clinical instructors for students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program. Call required at times to meet departmental needs.ResponsibilitiesObtains patient data before procedure (DOB, age, and history) and explains procedure to be performed, facilitates patients’ cooperation and alleviates anxiety.Transfers patient to exam table; ensures proper covering of patient according to policy and procedureArranges, attaches, or adjusts immobilization and support devices according to procedure, ensuring limitation of patient movementDemonstrates satisfactory positioning and equipment knowledge; consistently produces radiographs of diagnostic qualityAlways demonstrates working knowledge and proficiency with imaging equipment, including, but not limited to portables, c-arms, tomography, fluoroscopy, head unit, and general radiographic equipmentPerforms related duties as required.QualificationsRequired:Education:Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology school with an associate degree or equivalent or graduation within 6 months. Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:Registered with ARRT or registry eligible, must be registered within 1 year of employment. American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.SCRQSA license is required.Preferred:Experience: Radiology Technologist or related experience is preferred.Organization DescriptionPiedmont Medical Network - Fort Mill Hospital opened in 2022 to serve the growing and vibrant community of Fort Mill, SC.
