Job SummaryThe Radiology Technician / Specialist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. The role ensures high-quality imaging, appropriate patient preparation, safe equipment operation, and compliance with radiation protection and hospital standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and other imaging modalities according to qualifications and approved scope of practicePrepare and position patients appropriately while ensuring their comfort, safety, and understanding of proceduresOperate, inspect, and maintain radiology equipment to ensure accurate imaging and safe operationReview image quality, maintain accurate patient records, and coordinate with radiologists and clinical teamsFollow radiation protection protocols, infection prevention procedures, and patient safety requirementsQualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Medical Imaging, Radiological Sciences, or a related fieldValid SCFHS professional classification and registration1–3 years of relevant experience in diagnostic radiology or medical imagingKnowledge of radiology equipment, imaging techniques, radiation protection, and patient safetyHospital or healthcare imaging experience is preferred
