Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole Description This is a full-time, on-site Railway PAUT NDT Inspector Level 2 role based in UAE, Sharjah. The inspector will perform phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) and other NDT methods on railway components and infrastructure, following approved procedures and relevant standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing inspection plans, setting up and calibrating our own NDT equipment, conducting inspections, interpreting and recording results, and issuing clear, accurate reports. The role involves working closely with quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to identify defects, assess corrosion or material degradation, and support decisions on repair or replacement. The inspector will also participate in safety briefings, maintain documentation and traceability, and support continuous improvement of inspection techniques and processes.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong ultrasonic and PAUT inspection skills, including equipment setup, calibration, data acquisition, and interpretation is MANDATORY.Candidates should possess eddy current and related inspection skills for detecting surface and near-surface discontinuities.Candidates should possess inspection and quality control skills, including adherence to standards, procedure compliance, and accurate reporting.Candidates should possess corrosion assessment skills for evaluating material degradation and recommending corrective actions.Valid NDT Level 2 certification in PAUT in accordance with recognized standards ( ASNT, or equivalent).Experience in railway, heavy industry, or infrastructure inspections, with a clear understanding of safety and regulatory requirements is MANDATORY.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, standards, and procedures, and to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work on-site in field conditions, sometimes in confined or elevated spaces.Relevant technical diploma or degree in engineering, materials science, or a related field is preferred.Willingness to participate in ongoing training and certification upgrades and to follow all health, safety, and environmental policies.To help us process applications efficiently, we'd appreciate it if you could confirm you meet the above criteria before applying.
