RoleWe are seeking an experienced RAN Manager to lead the planning, deployment, optimization, operation, and continuous improvement of Radio Access Network (RAN) infrastructure.The successful candidate will provide technical and operational leadership across 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G, private wireless, and other applicable radio technologies, ensuring strong network coverage, capacity, availability, performance, and service quality.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute RAN strategy, architecture, modernization, and lifecycle plans.Lead RAN planning, design, deployment, integration, optimization, and operational activities.Manage radio network performance across coverage, capacity, accessibility, retainability, and service quality.Oversee RAN infrastructure including base stations, antennas, radios, controllers, small cells, repeaters, and related systems.Develop radio coverage and capacity plans based on traffic forecasts, customer requirements, and business growth.Lead RF planning, frequency utilization, power configuration, antenna parameters, and network dimensioning.Coordinate site surveys, site selection, installation, commissioning, integration, and acceptance.Manage RAN upgrades, technology migrations, expansions, swaps, and modernization programs.Monitor network performance and identify congestion, coverage gaps, interference, and recurring technical issues.Establish optimization programs to improve network availability, throughput, latency, accessibility, and user experience.Coordinate drive testing, benchmarking, field measurements, and performance analysis.Review network KPIs, alarms, counters, traces, and performance reports to identify root causes.Lead corrective actions for coverage, capacity, interference, hardware, software, and configuration issues.Coordinate RAN activities with Core Network, Transmission, IP, IT, Power, Infrastructure, and Field Operations teams.Ensure appropriate backhaul capacity and connectivity are available for RAN sites.Manage network incidents, outages, escalations, and service-impacting faults.Establish preventive and predictive maintenance programs for RAN assets.Ensure appropriate redundancy, resilience, backup power, and disaster-recovery arrangements.Manage network configuration, parameter changes, software releases, and change-control processes.Validate RAN software and hardware upgrades through testing and controlled deployment.Lead acceptance testing and performance verification for newly deployed or upgraded sites.Manage RAN vendors, system integrators, contractors, and field-service partners.Define vendor requirements, technical deliverables, service levels, and performance expectations.Monitor vendor performance, technical quality, response times, and contractual commitments.Support procurement activities for RAN equipment, services, licenses, tools, and maintenance contracts.Manage RAN budgets, forecasts, resource requirements, and operating expenditures.Develop business cases for network expansion, modernization, automation, and technology upgrades.Maintain accurate RAN asset, configuration, topology, and site databases.Ensure network changes are properly documented, approved, implemented, and auditable.Support spectrum planning and ensure RAN configurations comply with applicable spectrum allocations.Monitor regulatory and technical requirements affecting radio network deployment and operation.Implement network security controls and coordinate with cybersecurity teams to protect RAN infrastructure.Support 5G, Open RAN, private wireless, edge connectivity, automation, and other emerging technologies where applicable.Evaluate new RAN technologies, vendors, architectures, and optimization tools.Use analytics, automation, AI, and machine-learning capabilities to improve network performance and operational efficiency.Develop network capacity forecasts and identify future investment requirements.Establish technical standards, engineering guidelines, operating procedures, and best practices.Lead technical reviews, network audits, and continuous-improvement initiatives.Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and development for RAN engineering and operations teams.Prepare executive reports covering network performance, incidents, projects, risks, costs, efficiencyIdeal CandidateThe successful candidate should have strong experience in RAN engineering, wireless telecommunications, mobile network operations, RF engineering, network optimization, or telecommunications infrastructure management.The candidate should demonstrate:Strong knowledge of RAN technologies, architectures, and network performance principles.Practical experience with LTE and 5G networks; knowledge of legacy technologies is advantageous.Strong understanding of RF planning, optimization, coverage, capacity, and interference management.Experience managing RAN deployment, integration, commissioning, upgrades, and modernization.Knowledge of radio equipment, antennas, base stations, small cells, and related infrastructure.Experience analyzing RAN performance counters, alarms, traces, and network statistics.Familiarity with drive testing, benchmarking, RF measurement, and optimization tools.Understanding of IP, transmission, backhaul, synchronization, power, and network infrastructure dependencies.Experience managing telecommunications vendors, contractors, and system integrators.Strong project-management, budgeting, planning, and stakeholder-management capabilities.Familiarity with network-management, monitoring, analytics, and automation platforms.Knowledge of telecommunications standards, regulatory requirements, and spectrum considerations.Strong understanding of network security, resilience, redundancy, and business continuity.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple technical projects, incidents, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Experience working with international and distributed teams.Strong leadership skills and a continuous-improvement mindset.
