Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the roleWe are looking for an experienced React Native developer to own our mobile apps on iOS and Android. These are business apps that frontline teams rely on every day, so reliability and attention to detail matter. You would be shipping features, fixing bugs, keeping dependencies and native builds healthy, and making the architecture calls as the apps grow. You will work directly with the product owner and the backend team, and you will have a real say in how things are done.NOTE - Preference will be given to candidates who are based in Rajkot or have a connection to the city. What you will doBuild and ship features across iOS and Android in React Native with TypeScript.Own the health of the codebase: framework and library upgrades, native dependencies, build problems, and performance.Debug production issues from crash reports and user reports, fix the root cause, and prevent repeats.Introduce automated tests where they pay off most, and keep them running.Review code, write short notes for non-obvious decisions, and document what the next person needs to know.Work with the backend team on API contracts, and with the release owner on getting builds to testers and stores. What we are looking forFive or more years of software development, including three or more years shipping React Native apps to production on both platforms.Strong TypeScript and React fundamentals: hooks, rendering behaviour, state management, and knowing when to reach for which tool.A working understanding of how React Native runs on a device: the JavaScript engine, the native side, the threads involved, and what that means for performance.Hands-on experience with React Navigation, deep linking, push notifications (FCM and APNs), local and secure storage, and networking.Experience with Expo tooling (dev clients, config plugins, prebuild) or equivalent depth with React Native CLI projects.Comfortable in Xcode and Android Studio when a build breaks or a library needs a native fix.You have owned a codebase, not only contributed to one. You can walk into unfamiliar code, find your way around, and improve it without rewriting it.You explain technical trade-offs in plain language to people who do not write mobile code.Nice to haveWriting or patching native modules in Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C, or Java.Reanimated, worklets, and performance profiling.Sentry or a similar crash-reporting tool, and a habit of using it to drive fixes.Exposure to release tooling such as fastlane, EAS, TestFlight, and the Play Console. You will not own releases, but you should understand how they work.Jest and React Native Testing Library; Detox or Maestro.Apps that talk to several backends or tenants, or that include messaging or other real-time features.
