React Native Technical Lead

Lead the architecture, development, reliability, and production support of a large-scale React Native mobile application. Provide hands-on technical leadership while partnering with product, UX, backend, cloud, DevOps, QA, and security teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-quality mobile experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn mobile architecture, technical roadmap, coding standards, reusable components, and technical debt reduction.Lead hands-on development, code reviews, troubleshooting, technical design, and release readiness.Drive production support, root-cause analysis, incident resolution, and reliability improvements.Optimize performance, startup time, crashes, memory, network efficiency, battery usage, and customer experience.Integrate backend APIs and services for authentication, ordering, payments, loyalty, promotions, analytics, and notifications.Strengthen automated testing across unit, integration, component, and E2E layers.Own mobile CI/CD, release engineering, signing, environment management, feature flags, and App Store/Google Play releases.Mentor distributed engineering teams and provide technical direction during critical releases and production incidents.Required SkillsStrong hands-on React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript, and React experience.Knowledge of modern React Native architecture, Hermes, Metro, Gradle, Xcode, native modules/TurboModules, and dependency management.Working knowledge of iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java).Experience with REST APIs, authentication, deep links, push notifications, analytics, payment SDKs, and third-party integrations.Strong mobile security, testing, CI/CD, observability, debugging, and performance optimization skills.Experience with tools such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox/Appium, Crashlytics, Sentry, Datadog, or equivalents.Required Experience8+ years of software engineering experience.5+ years in mobile application development.3+ years of hands-on React Native experience in customer-facing applications.2+ years in a Technical Lead/Senior Engineering Lead role.Proven experience operating applications at scale across Apple App Store and Google Play Store.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.PreferredExperience in restaurant, retail, ecommerce, hospitality, or other high-volume consumer platforms.Experience with AWS-hosted services and mobile-to-cloud troubleshooting.Knowledge of offline/degraded-mode design, caching, retries, resiliency, and accessibility.Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot while maintaining security and code-quality standards.
