The team focuses on reliable, innovative solutions and long-term client relationships, offering applicants the chance to work on diverse and technically challenging projects.Role Description The Reactive Audio Visual and Effects Lighting Service Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in London. The role involves responding to service calls, diagnosing faults, and repairing professional audio, visual, and effects lighting systems at client locations. Daily tasks include performing routine maintenance, testing and commissioning equipment, configuring control systems, and ensuring installations operate safely and effectively. The engineer will document all work completed, maintain service records, and communicate clearly with clients and the internal team regarding issues, solutions, and follow-up needs. The position also includes occasional out-of-hours support, coordinating with project managers and other engineers to ensure rapid and professional resolution of technical problems.Qualifications Strong technical skills in professional audio, video, and effects lighting systems, including fault finding, repair, and routine maintenance.Hands-on experience with AV control systems, DMX lighting control, signal routing, and relevant hardware and software tools.Solid understanding of electrical and electronic principles, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.Ability to work safely on-site, following health and safety regulations and best practices for equipment handling and installation.Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, accessible language.Strong organizational skills, including accurate documentation, time management, and the ability to prioritize multiple service calls.Experience in the professional sound, lighting, or AV industry, ideally within entertainment, corporate, or commercial environments.Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electronics, electrical engineering, audio-visual technology, or a related field.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
