Real Time Software Engineer

Role: Real-Time Software EngineerPurpose: Develop the core software platform that receives sensor data, processes events, controls devices, and generates recordsRequired Experience: 5+ YearsRequired Competencies:Advanced proficiency in C#, C++, or another appropriate systems programming language.Must have experience with Doppler Radar/LiDar, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Fast Fourier Transformation(FFT).Strong experience with real-time or near-real-time software systems.Strong understanding of concurrency, asynchronous programming, thread safety, memory management, and task scheduling.Ability to build high-throughput processing pipelines using producer-consumer patterns, queues, bounded channels, and backpressure.Ability to parse binary communication protocols safely and efficiently.Experience with TCP, UDP, serial communication, CAN, GPIO, and device SDK integration.Ability to configure PTP, NTP, GNSS time sources, and hardware timestamps.Ability to develop watchdogs, device reconnection, retry policies, timeout handling, and automatic recovery.Experience with profiling CPU, memory, disk, GPU, and network performance.Ability to develop simulation and replay tools using logged data.Ability to implement unit, integration, hardware-in-the-loop, and regression testing.Strong understanding of software versioning, release control, and production deploymentEducation Required:Minimum bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field.Preferred Background: ▪ Industrial software. ▪ Machine vision. ▪ Embedded computing. ▪ Automotive computing ▪ Intelligent transportation systems. ▪ Robotics. ▪ High-throughput telemetry systems.
