Receiver (Aultman Hospital)

AVI Foodsystems at Aultman Hospital is seeking an applicant for a Full-time Receiving Clerk position. This is a Monday-Friday Position 6:00am-2:30pm. Hours may fluctuate to specific business needs. Starting pay rate of $16 plus, based on level of experience and education. The receiving clerk is part of a team that is responsible for all the unpacking and distribution of all products delivered to the Food and Nutrition Department from various distributors throughout the week. This position works on their feet all day, moving and lifting products to and from shelves, inside of walk-in coolers, freezers, and dry storage areas. Applicants should have an understanding of basic food safety and experience in a high-volume kitchen or similar warehouse environment. Positive attitude, teamwork, a desire to succeed, and the ability to get things done are a must.ResponsibilitiesReceive shipments; check the accuracy of the delivery against the order guide. Check all products for potential damage and improper temperatures. Sort stock for distribution to the appropriate location or storage area.Keep record of invoices sent and receivedProcess inter-departmental stock requests and prepare for deliveryMonitor storage areas to ensure shelf sheet orders and accuracyKeep up with the movement of merchandise Read planograms and set up displays or rearrange merchandise for organizational flow in the stock roomPlace orders with suppliers as necessaryContact supplier and resolve any shipping issuesStock and organize all areas of storage following first in, first out method Ensure proper labelling on all storage Assist with utility tasks on sales floor and kitchenAssist the Production Manager with ordering and inventoryTransport product and people to locations within the siteFill out proper receiving and temperature logsFollow daily and weekly cleaning schedule for storage areas RequirementsReport to work on time, in uniform and check in with manager on duty.Must be able to bend and lift heavy boxes.
