This role owns the reception team, reservation systems, and first impressions for members and guests, ensuring every arrival reflects the standard of hospitality The June is known for.The ideal candidate is a seasoned hospitality leader who blends operational rigor with genuine warmth, comfortable managing a team while remaining a visible, welcoming presence at the front desk.Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Operations Management Own day-to-day management of the reception area, including staffing, scheduling, and coverage Oversee reservation, waitlist, and membership check-in systems, ensuring accuracy and smooth flow Set and uphold standards for greeting, phone, and email etiquette across the team Resolve escalated member or guest concerns with poise and discretionTeam Leadership & Training Recruit, hire, train, and develop reception staff to reflect The June's standards Conduct regular check-ins, coaching, and performance management Build and maintain training materials and onboarding processes for the front desk Foster a culture of accountability, warmth, and pride in the workBusiness & Administrative Management Manage front-of-house administrative workflows, correspondence, and reporting Partner with membership, events, and dining teams to coordinate arrivals and special requests Monitor labor costs and scheduling efficiency for the reception team Maintain accurate membership and guest recordsRequirementsWho You Are A confident, hands-on leader who sets the tone by example Highly organized, with a sharp eye for detail and presentation Calm and composed under pressure, especially during high-traffic periods A natural people-manager who can train, motivate, and hold a team accountable Discreet, warm, and professional, comfortable operating in a private club environmentQualifications 3+ years of front desk, guest services, or reception experience, including at least 1+ years in a supervisory role, ideally in hospitality or a private club Proven track record leading front-of-house teams Strong knowledge of reservation and membership management systems Experience managing schedules and labor costs Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as requiredPreferred Experience Experience within a private membership club or luxury hospitality brand Experience supporting private events or member programming alongside daily operationsKey Competencies Hospitality mindset and warmth Team leadership and coaching Organization and attention to detail Composure under pressure Discretion and professionalism Clear, confident communicationWhat Success Looks Like Every member and guest experiences a seamless, warm arrival A trained, motivated reception team with low turnover Reservation and check-in systems run accurately and efficiently at all times Members who feel genuinely known from the moment they walk in
