We operate in full compliance with national mandates, supporting the UAE’s digital economy and financial inclusion goals.About the RoleWe are looking for a Reconciliation & Settlement Officer to join our Finance/Operations team and support the accurate and timely reconciliation and settlement of payment transactions. The role will be responsible for monitoring transaction flows, identifying discrepancies, resolving exceptions, and ensuring accurate settlement with merchants, banks, payment partners, and other stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesPerform daily reconciliation of payment transactions across internal systems, banks, payment gateways, wallets, and other payment channels.Monitor settlement files and ensure transactions are accurately settled within agreed timelines.Identify, investigate, and resolve reconciliation breaks, discrepancies, unmatched transactions, and settlement exceptions.Reconcile transaction data against bank statements, system reports, processor reports, and settlement files.Track outstanding items and coordinate with internal teams, banks, merchants, and payment partners for resolution.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation and settlement reports.Monitor refunds, chargebacks, reversals, failed transactions, and other payment exceptions.Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for reconciliation and settlement activities.Support month-end closing and financial reporting requirements related to payment transactions.Ensure reconciliation and settlement processes comply with internal controls, policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives to improve reconciliation accuracy and operational efficiency.Support internal and external audits by providing required reconciliation reports and supporting documentation.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.Required Skills2–4 years of experience in reconciliation, settlement, payments operations, banking, fintech, or financial services.Good understanding of payment transactions, settlement cycles, and reconciliation processes.Strong Excel skills and experience working with large transaction datasets.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.Ability to investigate discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution.Experience working with payment gateways, banks, card schemes, wallets, or PSPs is an advantage.Good communication and coordination skills across Finance, Operations, Technology, and external partners.
