Reconciliation Layer Lead — Technical Product Lead

Own the design and delivery of the centralised AP reconciliation platform: the reconciliation database, the unified billing-verification (matching) engine, orchestrator, notification/action engine, workflow and user interface — the central engine that replaces per-system reconciliation across the client’s entities. Key responsibilities

Own the end-to-end design and delivery of the reconciliation platform: data model, matching engine (invoice vs PO/receipt/contract/price within tolerances), rules evaluation, orchestration, actions and notifications, workflow, UI and reporting.
Run reconciliation-rules and scenario-catalogue workshops with client AP, procurement and tax teams; translate outcomes into rules specifications, actions and notifications (for example, posting authorisation on match; supplier credit-note request on rejection).
Lead a squad of backend, frontend and data/ML engineers: backlog, sprint planning, technical quality, code review and deployment through QA/UAT/Prod on Kubernetes.
Lead the AI-assisted matching pilot (candidate-match suggestions with confidence scores and human approval) with appropriate controls, explainability and auditability.
Ensure full audit trail, RBAC/entity scoping via Entra ID, observability, performance at scale (hundreds of thousands of invoices per year) and SLA readiness; deliver technical knowledge transfer and runbooks. Required experience and skills
10+ years of software engineering with 4+ years leading product or platform delivery; experience building finance-process platforms (AP automation, invoice matching, reconciliation, eInvoicing, payments) strongly preferred.
Strong architecture skills: microservices, event-driven workflows, relational data modelling, rules and workflow engines, REST APIs, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
Solid understanding of procure-to-pay and AP invoice-matching controls (two/three-way match, tolerances, duplicate detection, exception handling).
Excellent facilitation with finance users and the ability to translate business rules into precise specifications. Nice to have
Experience introducing ML-assisted matching or classification with human-in-the-loop controls.
Experience with SAP FI-AP posting integrations.
UAE VAT / eInvoicing awareness.
