Our residential facility is seeking a skilled Recovery Support Coach (RSC) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential medical care and support to our residents, ensuring their well-being and promoting a safe and healing environment.About Solace AsiaSolace Asia is a residential addiction treatment facility in Ampang, delivering evidence-based treatment for addictive disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions through a multidisciplinary clinical team.Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of clinical psychologists, counsellors, psychiatrists, medical doctors and nurses to support the provision of evidence-based treatment services to patients with addictive disorders- Provide peer coaching and support to patients in achieving treatment goals and in achieving and maintaining recovery from addictive disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions- Administer medications and monitor residents' vital signs- Liaise with medical personnel such as doctors and psychiatrists on a day-to-day basis regarding patients' treatment plans- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation- Administer substance misuse tests on a regular basis- De-escalate any crisis circumstances by providing proper care to patients in times of need- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives- Interact with and provide therapeutic support to patients in daily activities, both inside and outside of the treatment facility- Serve as a mentor to patients by demonstrating a recovery-focused attitude and behaviour- Help patients navigate the healthcare system and social service system; accompany patients to appointments and meetings- Monitor patients' progress and evaluate outcome, using a patient tracking system- Assist with data collection for quality assurance and programme evaluationQualifications- High school diploma or equivalent qualification- Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field would be an advantage- Lived experience of recovery from substance use disorder would be an advantage (candidates in recovery must have a minimum of 1 year of abstinence)- Basic life support and first aid training would be a requirement upon hiringKnowledge, Skills and Abilities- Fluency in English, both oral and written communication- Strong interpersonal (staff and family), facilitation, and leadership skills- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team of clinical psychologists, counsellors, psychiatrists, medical doctors and nurses- Comfort in working in medical settings- Ability to provide accurate feedback without judgment or discomfort- Flexibility to adapt to unforeseen needs or circumstances- Excels at problem solving and multi-tasking, organised, efficient and goal-directed- Ability to appropriately handle confidential informationWork ScheduleNight shifts (8.30pm to 8.30am) on a rotating schedule.How to ApplyPlease submit your CV to andy@solaceasia.orgWe look forward to welcoming you to our team and embarking on this rewarding journey together.
