With a production capacity geared toward both local and regional markets, AFI focuses on delivering great taste, consistent quality, and creative product formats that appeal to a wide range of consumers.Role Description The Refrigeration Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Arab Emirates. The technician will be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems supporting ice cream and frozen product manufacturing. Daily tasks include performing routine inspections, monitoring system performance, identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, and conducting preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The role also involves responding to breakdowns, coordinating with production and maintenance teams, documenting service activities, and ensuring all work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Qualifications Strong skills in Preventive Maintenance for refrigeration and HVAC systems, with the ability to plan and execute scheduled servicing.Proficiency in Troubleshooting refrigeration, HVAC, and related control systems to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.Solid understanding of Electricity and electrical safety practices relevant to industrial refrigeration and maintenance work.Hands-on experience in Maintenance & Repair of industrial cooling equipment, compressors, condensers, and related mechanical components.Technical knowledge of HVAC systems used in food manufacturing environments, including temperature control and environmental monitoring.Vocational diploma or technical certification in refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, or mechanical engineering (or equivalent practical experience).Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals and use diagnostic tools and instruments.Awareness of health, safety, and food hygiene standards within manufacturing facilities.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Previous experience in food or FMCG manufacturing environments is an advantage.
