We are recruiting a Regional Commercial Manager – Middle East on behalf of an established international fine jewellery house.This is a regional commercial appointment with responsibility for developing the brand's business across key markets throughout the Middle East.We are looking for someone who already understands the luxury landscape of the region and, importantly, understands that each market needs to be approached differently. Client behaviour, commercial opportunities, partnerships and ways of doing business can vary considerably across the Middle East, and this role requires someone who is comfortable navigating those differences.The successful candidate will be based in the UAE and travel regularly throughout the region.Fluency in Arabic and English is required for this position.The RoleWorking closely with regional and international management, you will take responsibility for the commercial development and performance of the business across your assigned Middle Eastern markets.The remit combines existing business performance with future market development.You will maintain a detailed understanding of how the business is performing, where growth is coming from and where further opportunities exist. This means spending meaningful time in the markets rather than attempting to manage the region entirely from the UAE.You will work with local teams, commercial partners and internal stakeholders to develop market-specific plans and ensure regional opportunities are identified and followed through.Commercial Performance & PlanningYou will monitor sales and commercial performance across the territory, identifying trends and understanding the factors influencing individual markets.Working with senior management, you will contribute to annual budgets, forecasts and regional business plans.Regular performance reviews will form part of the role, but we are looking for someone who can go beyond reporting numbers.You should be able to explain what is driving performance, identify where the business needs attention and make practical recommendations around how individual markets can develop.You will also assess new commercial opportunities and build clear business cases around potential areas of growth.Market DevelopmentDeveloping the brand's presence across the Middle East will be a central part of the position.You will maintain a strong understanding of the luxury landscape across the region, including changes in client behaviour, competitor activity, new developments and emerging opportunities.This may include evaluating existing markets, identifying new opportunities and working with senior management on future commercial priorities.You should naturally be interested in what is happening across the regional luxury sector and maintain a strong external network.Partnerships & Stakeholder ManagementBuilding credible relationships across the region will be important.You will work with relevant local partners and stakeholders, discussing performance, commercial priorities and opportunities for future development.The ability to communicate comfortably at senior level and understand different business cultures across the Middle East will be essential.Fluent Arabic will be particularly important in developing these relationships and operating effectively across the territory.Luxury ClientsA strong understanding of the Middle Eastern luxury client is essential.Although this is not a traditional frontline sales role, you should understand the importance of VIP and UHNW clients within fine jewellery and how client expectations and buying behaviour differ between markets.You will work with relevant teams around important client initiatives, events, launches and other commercial opportunities.Experience or exposure to high jewellery, exceptional pieces and significant private-client business would be particularly relevant.Product & Market IntelligenceYou will maintain a clear understanding of product performance throughout the region and provide meaningful feedback to regional and international teams.This includes recognising differences in demand between markets, identifying strong and underperforming categories and understanding the relationship between local client preferences and commercial performance.You will also follow competitor activity and broader developments within fine jewellery, watches and the international luxury market.The objective is to make sure strong local market knowledge feeds directly into regional commercial decisions.Working Across the BusinessThe position will work closely with a number of functions including Retail, Marketing, CRM, Merchandising, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain.You will often act as the link between individual markets and the wider regional or international organisation.Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills are therefore important, as is the ability to work within an international business where decisions frequently involve several different teams.Candidate ProfileWe are interested in candidates who have built strong commercial experience within fine jewellery, watches or the higher end of the international luxury sector.You may currently be working within regional commercial management, business development, market management, wholesale or another relevant multi-market position.Experience across several Middle Eastern countries is strongly preferred.You should have a genuine understanding of the region rather than experience limited to a single location and be comfortable travelling regularly to maintain that market knowledge.
