Location: Anaheim, CAPay: $160,000–$165,000 base salary + 10% bonus potential

Employment Type: Direct HireSchedule: Full-time, Onsite (Monday–Friday)Travel: Approximately 20% during the first 6 months, decreasing to approximately 10%.

Travel consists of CA based locations.About the OpportunityLakeshore Talent is partnering with a well-established transportation and logistics organization to identify an experienced Regional Controller. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for overseeing all accounting and finance operations for a large, multi-site regional business.The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance leader who enjoys partnering with operations, improving processes, and providing strategic financial guidance. This position requires someone who can work independently, build strong relationships across multiple locations, and thrive in a fast-paced operational environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all regional accounting and finance functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reportingOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesManage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning activitiesAnalyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to leadershipOversee multiple profit and loss statements across several operating locationsDevelop and maintain strong internal controls while ensuring GAAP compliancePartner with operational leaders to improve business processes, profitability, and operational efficiencyLead variance analysis and present financial results and KPIs to executive leadershipSupport pricing strategies, cost savings initiatives, and business growth opportunitiesAssist with annual audits and ensure compliance with applicable financial and tax requirementsLead, mentor, and develop an accounting team, fostering accountability and continuous improvementManage banking relationships, cash management, and working capitalDrive process improvements and support ongoing ERP optimization initiativesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldPublic accounting experience strongly preferred3+ years leading accounting and finance functions within a mid-sized or large organization5+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teamsStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reportingExperience managing complex, multi-entity or multi-location accounting environmentsDemonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow managementExperience partnering closely with operations and executive leadershipPreferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in operationally focused industries such as transportation, manufacturing, construction, trucking, logistics, or similar environments are highly preferred.Experience supporting high-volume billing operations and managing multiple business units is also desirable.Technical SkillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with enterprise ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or similar large-scale platformsExperience developing financial reporting and KPI dashboardsWhat Makes Someone SuccessfulSelf-starter who can work with minimal supervisionStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesComfortable working in a fast-paced operational environmentExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to influence business decisions through financial insightProcess improvement mindset with strong attention to detailCollaborative leadership style with the ability to coach and develop teamsSchedule & Work EnvironmentFull-time, onsite in Anaheim, CAMonday through FridayTravel to regional locations approximately 20% during onboarding, reducing over timeAdditional InformationThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Controller looking to make a meaningful impact within a growing, operations-focused organization.
