The organisation works to foster debate regarding the role of culture in conflict environments and the importance of protecting architecture. At both national and international levels, the organisation strives to increase the knowledge base on the preservation of culture in relation to international laws and current political issues. The Role: as Regional Data Manager for Africa, you will be the person responsible for data collection on Africa. You will be tasked with finding relevant and reliable information on damage caused to buildings, for example through triangulation and verification of sources. The sources can include a diverse set of data, for example newspapers, local- policy reports and official governmental statements. The role involves tracking conflict dynamics in the region of Africa and identifying targeted architecture. The core responsibilities includes the following;Monitoring data Preparing analysis reportsSummarise the findings Maintain documentation on conflicts

Qualifications

(Minimum requirement: You must be a registered student at a university or have completed a bachelor's degree at the time of the application).Experience in designing and managing quantitative and qualitative data collection projects, ideally across multiple African countries or regions.Excellent organizational and project management skills, including prioritization, timeline management, and budget awareness.Solid understanding of research ethics, informed consent, safeguarding, and data privacy, particularly in fragile or sensitive environments.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge and interest in the region of Africa.Ability to cooperate and work in teams across the organisation.Beneficial: Proficiency in additional languages relevant to African regions (e.g., French, Arabic, Swahili, Portuguese) is an advantage.Residing in Stockholm or Uppsala
