Apply & track with Apply EdgeOur client an overseas NGO who provide consultancy services to businesses wishing to develop business within the region have a vacancy for a Regional Director based in their Dubai Office.Responsible for the Middle East operations with a remit to create and develop a strategy in line with the corporate vision.Your key responsibilities will be to:Provide in-market expertise to help companies expand their businesses in UAE, Qatar, Egypt, and other countries within MENA.Navigate the local regulatory environment and develop opportunities acrossdifferent sectors.Monitor the business environment and provide up-to-date market intelligence tocompanies to help advance their businesses in the Middle East.Establish, maintain, and cultivate strategic contacts and partnerships to generate leads and for business matching across sectors.Identify and secure revenue through partnership, programs and relevant servicesProvide advisory and market knowledge to support companies'internationalization plansDevelop country market briefs providing insights into market trends, businessopportunities, key developments, and market-entry strategies to support seniormanagement, stakeholders, and companies.Oversee and execute events, seminars, and in-market business missions toachieve departmental objectives, generate qualified business leads, andfacilitate high-quality networking opportunities for participating companies.management and development of your local team and office.Requirements:Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience in international business development with NGOs/Trade commissions/Chambers of Commerce/business councils.Good relations with an extensive local contact of private companies acrosssectors, chambers, associations and government (bonus) in the region a mustKnowledge of industry landscape, business practices and ecosystem a mustAbility to handle cross-cultural differences and communicate effectively withstakeholdersPreferably Arabic speakingStrong business development, process management, and negotiation skillsExperience in program development and management will be advantageousMix of both govt/ chamber and private sector experience will be advantageousExcellent leadership skills and a hands-on approachSelf-motivated, positive attitude, and a team leader.
