Regional Director – Technical & Quality

We are conducting an executive search for an international apparel sourcing and buying organization in Bangladesh seeking an experienced Regional Director – Technical & Quality to lead its end-to-end quality and technical function across the supplier base.This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced international apparel professional with extensive exposure to global brands, sourcing operations, garment manufacturing, supplier development and quality governance.The RoleThe Regional Director – Technical & Quality will provide strategic leadership for product quality, technical assurance, supplier capability development and buyer satisfaction, covering the complete product lifecycle from raw materials and accessories through production, finishing and shipment.The successful candidate will act as a senior technical and quality interface with international buyers, factories, suppliers, third-party laboratories and auditors.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and lead the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with international buyer requirements and standards.Establish buyer-specific quality frameworks, technical standards, SOPs, KPIs and quality dashboards.Drive preventive and corrective quality systems and continuous improvement.Provide senior-level representation in buyer technical meetings, audits and quality-related crisis situations.Take overall responsibility for product quality from fabric and accessories through finishing and shipment.Lead in-line, final and buyer inspections and ensure continuous audit readiness.Manage quality claims through root-cause analysis, corrective action and professional buyer communication.Oversee technical audits, buyer technical manuals, testing protocols and third-party laboratory performance.Evaluate and develop factory and supplier technical/quality capabilities.Build strategic relationships with factories and suppliers and drive supplier capability development.Lead factory onboarding, quality risk assessment, development and quality-related delisting decisions.Lead the Development Centre and sample development function, ensuring technical feasibility, quality, speed and buyer alignment.Build, mentor and lead Technical & Quality teams across multiple locations.Establish training, capability development, succession planning and accountability frameworks.Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Production, Compliance and Supply Chain.Serve as the senior quality interface between buyers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.Candidate ProfileWe are particularly interested in non-Bangladeshi / expatriate professionals with only substantial international Brand from apparel industry experience.The ideal candidate should have:15+ years of relevant experience in apparel technical, quality, sourcing or garment manufacturing functions.Extensive experience with international apparel brands, buying houses, sourcing organizations or global supplier networks.Strong understanding of garment manufacturing, quality control systems, AQL, inspection, testing, audits and technical standards.Proven experience managing quality across multiple countries, factories and supplier groups.Strong exposure to international buyer requirements and technical manuals.Demonstrated experience in supplier/factory development and quality transformation.Significant experience leading and developing senior Technical & Quality teams.Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities.Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.Excellent project and timeline management capabilities.Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural and highly demanding international business environment.Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.Bachelor's degree preferred; Textile Engineering or a related discipline would be an advantage.International Exposure PreferredProfessionals with experience in Europe, UK, USA, Asia or other major global apparel sourcing markets are encouraged to apply.Experience with leading international apparel brands, retailers, sourcing offices or global manufacturing/supplier networks will be highly valued.LocationDhaka, BangladeshPosition LevelDirector / Regional LeadershipApplicationIf you are an experienced international Technical & Quality leader interested in exploring a senior leadership opportunity in Bangladesh's apparel sourcing industry, please share your updated CV/profile for a confidential discussion.Only profiles meeting the senior international apparel/quality leadership criteria will be considered.This is a confidential executive search assignment.
