Location: TanzaniaRegional Coverage: Tanzania & KenyaReporting to: Finance Director – AfricaDotted Line: General Manager – East AfricaLeadership Team: East Africa Management Committee (MANCO)An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Regional Finance Leader to take responsibility for the finance function across East Africa, covering operations in Tanzania and Kenya.As a member of the East Africa MANCO team, the successful candidate will play an active role in the strategic planning and execution of the regional business strategy, providing financial insight and commercial guidance to support business performance and sustainable growth.The role will provide strategic and commercial financial leadership while maintaining strong financial governance, reporting, controls, and compliance across the region.The successful candidate will be a commercially minded finance professional who combines strong technical and analytical capability with the leadership skills required to operate effectively across a multinational, matrix environment and lead finance teams across multiple countries.The role's key focus areas:Strategic & Commercial LeadershipServe as a member of the East Africa MANCO team, contributing to strategic planning and execution across the region.Partner with the General Manager and senior leadership team to drive achievement of overall corporate and regional objectives.Financial Management & ReportingTake full ownership of the monthly financial close and reporting process for the East African business units.Deliver accurate and timely monthly reporting packs to the Regional Finance Director and FP&A teams.Commercial Finance & Business PartneringAct as a trusted finance business partner to the local Executive and leadership teams.Conduct regular business reviews with functional and operational leaders.Cash, Working Capital & Capital ManagementLead cash management activities and monitor the overall regional cash position.Drive working capital optimisation and cash-generation initiatives.Tax, Governance, Risk & ComplianceMaintain a robust financial control environment in line with corporate policies and recognised accounting principles.Act as a key finance contact for TRA and KRA audits, submissions and dispute resolutions.Finance Transformation & TechnologyLead continuous improvement initiatives across the regional finance function.Ensure financial systems and ERP platforms provide accurate and effective visibility for decision-making.Leadership & People DevelopmentLead and manage finance teams across Tanzania and Kenya.Develop, coach and retain high-performing finance talent.Key Stakeholder RelationshipsThe role will work closely with:Finance Director – AfricaGeneral Manager – East AfricaEast Africa MANCOAfrica Executive CommitteeGlobal and Divisional Finance & FP&A teamsRegional Operations leadershipGlobal Shared ServicesExternal auditors and tax authoritiesLegal counsel and company secretarial stakeholdersEssential RequirementsRelevant Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or a related discipline.CPA - minimum requirement.10+ years of relevant finance experience, including sufficient senior-level finance management experience.Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.Strong experience in strategic financial reporting, financial analysis, and business performance management.Experience working within a multinational organisation and matrix structure.Experience dealing with complex tax environments, statutory authorities, and regulatory requirements.Advantageous ExperienceExperience within a manufacturing environment.Experience working for a multinational organisation.Experience managing finance operations across multiple countries.Exposure to a high-pressure, fast-paced business environment.Experience working within a complex matrix organisation.For more exciting Commercial & C-Suite vacancies, please visit:🌐 www.networkrecruitmentinternational.comI also specialise in recruiting for:C-Suite / CxO roles across Africa across growth marketsIf you have not received any response in two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
