We are seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Head of Compliance to lead the compliance function with a leading Asset Management firm. This role is critical in ensuring the organization meet all regulatory obligations and internal standards.Role OverviewThis role is responsible for leading the firm’s end‑to‑end compliance function, ensuring robust governance and full adherence to regulatory requirements while acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.The Head of Compliance will oversee regulatory engagement, set and maintain the firm’s compliance framework and policies, and drive a strong culture of compliance across the organisation. This is a highly visible leadership role for a commercially astute professional who can partner closely with the business, balancing growth and strategic decision‑making with effective management of regulatory risk.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, develop, and oversee the firm’s compliance framework, policies, and procedures.Provide strategic compliance advisory to senior management, investment teams, and business units.Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations governing asset management activitiesAct as primary liaison with regulatory authorities, including managing inspections, reporting obligations, and regulatory submissions.Conduct ongoing monitoring, risk assessments, and internal reviews to identify potential compliance gaps.Deliver compliance training and promote awareness across the organisation.Stay up to date with regulatory changes and assess impact on business operations.Key RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ICA, CFA, CAMS) are advantageous.Minimum 15-20 years of compliance experience, with strong exposure to asset management, fund management, or investment advisory.Deep understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards.Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsMandarin proficiency (spoken and written) is required as the role involves regular communication and relationship management with Mandarin-speaking clients and business partners in China
