Company Description Antaran – Transforming Crafts works to strengthen craft-based livelihoods by supporting traditional artisans across India. Through a multi-pronged approach focusing on technical training, design support, enterprise development, and market access, Antaran helps artisans gain recognition and fair returns for their skills in handloom and handicrafts. The initiative runs a five-year program through Incubation & Design Centres in selected clusters of Assam, Nagaland, and Odisha. These centres function as education and business development hubs, enabling artisans to become weaver-designers and community-based micro-entrepreneurs across the handloom value chain. A dedicated team of professionals with business, textile design, and technical expertise facilitates this transformation on the ground.Role Description The Regional Program Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Srikalahasti, responsible for overseeing program implementation within the designated region. The role involves managing daily operations of craft development initiatives, coordinating activities at local centres, and ensuring timely delivery of program milestones. The Regional Program Manager will supervise field teams, engage with artisans and community stakeholders, and monitor training, design interventions, and enterprise development support. Responsibilities include budget tracking, reporting, data collection, and documentation of program outcomes, as well as identifying risks and opportunities for improvement. The role also requires building partnerships with local institutions, facilitating market linkages, and representing Antaran in regional meetings and events.Qualifications Experience in program or project management, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of field-based initiatives.Background in livelihood promotion, community development, or social impact programs; familiarity with craft, textile, or handloom sectors is an advantage.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with artisans, local communities, partner organizations, and internal teams.Proficiency in data-driven reporting, documentation, and use of basic digital tools (spreadsheets, presentations, project tracking software).Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate diverse field teams.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, development studies, management, textile/design, or a related discipline.Prior on-site field experience in rural or semi-urban settings; willingness to travel within the region as needed.Demonstrated problem-solving ability, adaptability, and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices.
