We are looking for a Regional Project Logistics Director to be part of our GEODIS EUROPE management team!The ideal candidate can be based in Germany, France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Sweden or Spain. GEODIS is a company owned by SNCF group.A variety of tasks are waiting for you, amongst others:Implement, manage and coordinate project logistics business strategies at regional level in line with global strategies,Monitor overall business performance, develop regional strategic plans,Define and ensure compliance with organisational design, job descriptions, competencies, standards, processes and tools,Define budget guidelines and validate regional budget,Maintain PL network integrity at regional level,Manage regional suppliers, negotiate regional contracts, ensure regional delivery,Manage supplier partnership at regional level: sourcing, contract negotiation,Identify pain points, analyze efficiency and productivity of activities using appropriate KPIs and define action plan,Provide expertise, in-depth knowledge of the logistics/transport industry and import/export,Inform, train and promote best practice across the region,Assist the region in setting up monitoring and compliance systems,Continually identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to management for informed decision making,Contribute to the employer brand reputation,Set individual goals and objectives to achieve operational results, conduct employee reviews, assess performance,Encourage, challenge, motivate and develop the team in a positive working environment,Ensure information is disseminated appropriately,Keep abreast of current trends, developments and best practice in the field.You bring along:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or any other relevant area,Minimum 15 years of experience within the above-mentioned tasks,Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages (such as German, French, etc.) are a plus.Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams across multiple locations as well as direct reports,Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely decisions in a dynamic environment,You don't meet every single one of the above requirements and you're not our "purple squirrel"?
