Position OverviewRegional Sales Manager – Power & Water will be responsible for developing and growing Neway’s valve business across the Power and Water sectors in Saudi Arabia, with primary responsibility for end-user development, EPC project pursuit, consultant engagement, vendor approvals, and strategic customer relationships.The successful candidate must have a strong existing network within the Saudi Power and Water markets, including relationships with major end users, utilities, EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and project stakeholders.This is a senior commercial role requiring a proven ability to identify major projects at an early stage, influence specifications and approved vendor lists, develop project pursuit strategies, coordinate technical and commercial activities, and convert opportunities into orders.The candidate should have demonstrated experience managing or developing an annual business portfolio of USD 10 million or more, preferably involving industrial valves or comparable engineering equipment.Key Responsibilities1. Saudi Water Sector – End-User DevelopmentDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, engineering departments, procurement teams, maintenance organizations, project departments, and vendor approval teams within Saudi Arabia's Water sector.The candidate should have established market knowledge and preferably existing relationships across organizations involved in:Water production and desalinationIndependent Water Projects (IWPs)Water transmission systems and pipelinesMunicipal and industrial water treatmentWastewater and sewage treatmentPumping stations and storage facilitiesWater distribution infrastructureDesalination plant operation and maintenanceIdentify upcoming capital projects, plant expansions, replacement requirements, maintenance opportunities, and long-term supply opportunities.Position Neway products for both project requirements and recurring operational/MRO business.Develop Neway as a preferred valve supplier with major Water-sector end users and operating companies.2. Saudi Power Sector – End-User DevelopmentDevelop and maintain senior-level relationships with key stakeholders across Saudi Arabia's Power sector, including organizations involved in:Conventional power generationCombined cycle power plantsIndependent Power Projects (IPPs)Cogeneration Power plantsRenewable and energy infrastructurePower and water integrated facilitiesPower plant operation and maintenanceBalance-of-plant systems and associated utilitiesBuild relationships with engineering, projects, procurement, operations, maintenance, and vendor qualification departments.Identify greenfield projects, brownfield expansions, plant upgrades, replacement programs, shutdown requirements, and recurring MRO opportunities.Develop Neway's position as a strategic valve supplier for major Saudi Power-sector customers.3. EPC Contractor Relationships & Project PursuitDevelop and maintain strong relationships with Saudi and international EPC contractors executing Power and Water projects in the Kingdom, particularly with engineering, procurement, project management, and commercial teams.Lead EPC project pursuit from early identification and specification through RFQ, technical/commercial negotiation, and award.Track major projects, EPC bidders, consultants, specifications, valve packages, competitors, decision-makers, and project schedules.Coordinate with Neway factories, Engineering, Inside Sales, and Quality to develop competitive technical and commercial proposals and secure project-specific approvals.4. Engineering Consultant RelationshipsDevelop strong relationships with engineering consultants, FEED contractors, PMCs, owner's engineers, and design houses active in Saudi Power and Water projects.Engage during concept, FEED, specification, and detailed engineering stages to position Neway products and secure inclusion in project specifications and approved vendor lists.Conduct technical presentations and work with consultants to demonstrate compliance with project specifications, international standards, and end-user requirements.5. Vendor Registration & End-User ApprovalsLead vendor registration, manufacturer qualification, product approval, and Approved Vendor List (AVL) inclusion with key Saudi Power and Water end users.Build relationships with vendor registration, engineering, quality, procurement, and technical approval teams and actively follow approvals through completion.Coordinate technical submissions, factory audits, certifications, reference lists, testing, and other qualification requirements with Neway factories, Engineering, and Quality.Maintain a clear approval plan covering priority end users, current status, outstanding requirements, and target completion dates.6. Sales & Business ManagementManage and develop a Power and Water business portfolio with a targeted scale of USD 10 million+ annually.Prepare and execute annual business plans covering:Sales targetsKey accountsMajor EPC projectsEnd-user developmentVendor approvalsConsultant developmentMRO opportunitiesStrategic account penetrationMaintain a detailed and realistic sales and project pipeline.Provide accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts to the General Manager.Take commercial ownership of major opportunities, including pricing strategy, competitive positioning, negotiation strategy, payment terms, commercial risk, and order conversion.Work closely with Inside Sales to ensure quotations are technically compliant, commercially competitive, and submitted within customer deadlines.Monitor competitors, market pricing, customer buying behavior, project developments, and changes in the Saudi Power and Water markets.7. Strategic Account ManagementDevelop account plans for priority Power and Water customers identifying:Key decision-makers and influencersExisting Neway businessCompetitor positionInstalled baseUpcoming projectsMRO potentialVendor approval statusTechnical gapsCommercial opportunitiesRelationship-development prioritiesBuild relationships beyond procurement and establish access to engineering, projects, operations, maintenance, technical, quality, and senior management.Maintain regular face-to-face customer engagement throughout Saudi Arabia.Internal CoordinationWork closely with the General Manager on Saudi Power and Water strategy, major opportunities, key account development, pricing, approvals, and commercial decisions.Coordinate with Neway manufacturing facilities and global teams for technical support, project references, documentation, customer visits, factory audits, and major project negotiations.Provide clear internal visibility of strategic projects and ensure appropriate resources are mobilized for high-value opportunities.Support resolution of technical, quality, delivery, documentation, and commercial issues affecting strategic customers.Reporting & KPIsProvide regular reporting to the General Manager covering:Order intake and salesProject pipeline and weighted forecastMajor EPC pursuitsEnd-user developmentConsultant engagementVendor approvalsKey account activityMRO developmentCompetitor intelligenceRisks and required management actionsPerformance will be measured not only by quotation activity but by qualified pipeline creation, specification positioning, approvals achieved, strategic relationships developed, order conversion, revenue growth, and profitability.Candidate RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred.Minimum 10 years of relevant sales/business development experience, with substantial exposure to Saudi Arabia's Power and/or Water sectors.Proven experience in industrial valves or comparable engineered equipment strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience handling or developing an annual business portfolio of USD 10 million or above.Strong existing relationships with Power and Water end users in Saudi Arabia.Strong relationships with EPC contractors executing Power and Water projects in Saudi Arabia.Established network among engineering consultants, FEED contractors, PMCs, and design organizations serving the Saudi Power and Water sectors.Demonstrated experience securing vendor registrations, end-user approvals, manufacturer qualifications, and AVL inclusion.Proven track record of EPC project pursuit, preferably from early project identification and specification through RFQ, negotiation, and order award.Ability to understand valve specifications, datasheets, material requirements, international standards, and project documentation.Strong commercial and negotiation skills with experience handling significant project values.Ability to develop relationships at multiple levels, from engineers and procurement personnel to senior management.Strong understanding of the Saudi business environment and project-sales cycle.Fluent English required; Arabic is highly desirable.Willingness to travel extensively throughout Saudi Arabia and internationally when required.Self-driven, commercially focused, accountable, and capable of operating independently while coordinating effectively with regional and global teams.Preferred Candidate ProfileThe preferred candidate will already be recognized within the Saudi Power and Water market and will bring an established network of end users, EPC contractors, consultants, and industry stakeholders.The position requires a business developer and project pursuit leader, not simply an account coordinator. The successful candidate must be capable of creating opportunities, opening doors with strategic accounts, driving approvals, influencing project positioning, and converting major Power and Water opportunities into profitable orders.
