Magic Smile Dental values professionalism, compassion, and continuous learning to ensure excellent experiences for patients and staff.Role Description The Registered Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing routine preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services to patients in an on-site setting in Linden, NJ. Daily responsibilities include performing dental prophylaxis, periodontal assessments, scaling and root planing, and applying preventive treatments such as sealants and fluoride. The role also involves reviewing medical and dental histories, taking and charting periodontal measurements, assisting with patient education on oral hygiene practices, and collaborating with dentists and dental assistants to support comprehensive treatment plans. The hygienist will maintain accurate clinical records, adhere to infection control and safety protocols, and contribute to a respectful, patient-centered environment.Qualifications Strong clinical skills in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support comprehensive treatment plans.Expertise in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis for preventive care and maintenance of oral health.Knowledge of Periodontal Disease and its management, including assessments and non-surgical treatments.Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of New Jersey and current CPR certification.Ability to follow infection control standards, OSHA regulations, and maintain accurate patient documentation.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to educate patients and collaborate within a dental team.Prior experience in a general or family dental practice is preferred; familiarity with dental software is a plus.
