The hygienist will provide preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services, including patient assessments, dental prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and patient education on oral health and disease prevention. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing medical and dental histories, taking and evaluating dental radiographs as permitted, performing charting and periodontal measurements, and collaborating with dentists on treatment plans. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, adhering to infection control and safety standards, and supporting a welcoming, respectful environment for patients and team members. The hygienist will participate in continuing education, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure best practices in patient care.Qualifications Strong clinical proficiency in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support diagnostic and restorative treatment plans.Demonstrated expertise in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including thorough cleaning, scaling, and polishing procedures.Experience assessing, identifying, and managing Periodontal Disease, and providing appropriate non-surgical periodontal therapy.Current license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of Missouri (or eligibility to obtain), and CPR/BLS certification.Knowledge of infection control protocols, OSHA guidelines, and standard dental office safety procedures.Ability to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues, provide patient education, and maintain detailed clinical documentation.Comfort with dental practice management and charting software; experience with digital radiography is beneficial.Commitment to patient-centered care, professionalism, reliability, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary dental team.
