Registered Dental Hygienist

Our growing dental practice is looking to add a hygienist to join us in caring for our patients. The available position is for Monday - Thursday 7 -3:30 and Friday 7-12. The ideal candidate is a good communicator, detail oriented, problem solver with a positive mental attitude that shows compassion and care for others.Our motto is “Keep your teeth for life!,” and we strive to help our patients achieve that goal with a better state of health through the oral cavity.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Perform patient screening procedures including assessment of oral conditions, review health history, oral cancer screening, dental charting, and taking blood pressure and pulseAdminister local anesthesia and nitrous oxideTake digital X-rays - intra and extra oralPerform oral prophylaxis, periodontal therapy and periodontal maintenanceRemove calculus and plaque from all surfaces of the teethApply preventive materials to the teeth - sealants and fluoride treatmentsTeach patients appropriate strategies to maintain oral healthPerform documentation of treatment and presentation of treatment needed

Requirements
