Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the RoleThis role advances Unite for HER's Unidos por Ella Wellness Program by integrating cultural competence, culinary expertise, bilingual nutrition education, and community engagement to promote wellness within Latina communities. It also provides culturally relevant nutrition counseling and education, supports program growth through outreach and partnerships, leads signature Latina education initiatives, and represents Unite for HER at partner and community events.Roles and Responsibilities· Lead the development and implementation of the culturally relevant Unidos por Ella Wellness Program for Latina members, with a focus on increasing program participation and engagement.· Apply expertise in nutrition, culinary arts, and food science, including recipe modification for dietary needs such as gluten-free, low-sodium, and vegetarian patterns. · Support the Digital Team with written and video content relevant to the Latina community and oversee the Unidos por ELLA Facebook page.· Deliver nutrition services for English-speaking Wellness Passport and Empowered Living Program members, including at Orientation events, as needed. · Represent Unite for HER at public and partner events by delivering nutrition presentations, speaking with support groups, and hosting cooking demonstrations.· Oversee a weekly part-time support staff member by organizing schedules, assigning tasks, submitting monthly timesheets, and providing work-completion reports.· Attend Unite for HER's four signature fundraising events in support of the Development Team and maintain ServSafe food handler and allergen certifications.Desired Skills· Bachelor's degree with RD/RDN board certification and state licensure.· Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian, including at least 1 year of experience in oncology nutrition strongly preferred. · Fluent Spanish speaking skills required.· Strong knowledge of oncology nutrition, medical nutrition therapy (MNT), chronic disease prevention, food safety, and nutrition and health issues relevant to the Latina community.· Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity, with experience providing culturally tailored nutrition counseling and bilingual education.· Strong culinary knowledge and practical skill in food preparation, ingredient selection, flavor development, and recipe modification for specific dietary needs.· Community outreach, relationship-building, digital communication, and professional presentation skills.· Ability to travel locally for meetings, in-office workdays, classes, workshops, and community activities, with occasional air/rail travel as needed.A successful candidate:· is a bilingual communicator who builds trust and relationships with empathy, active listening, and cultural humility· is committed to culturally responsive care, advocacy, and advancing health equity within Latina communities· is collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to work across Nutrition, Wellness, Digital, Development, and partner teams· is organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple programs, events, schedules, and community relationships· demonstrates leadership in community programming and can guide projects from planning through implementation and evaluation· uses feedback, participation data, and engagement metrics to strengthen programming over time· is committed to continued learning in oncology nutrition and passionate about supporting the cancer community within a compassionate, female-led organizationStarting salary range for this role is $62,200- $67,697
