More information is available at hcsg.com.Role Description This full-time, on-site Registered Dietitian role is based in Lexington, SC. The Registered Dietitian will provide individualized nutritional assessments and medical nutrition therapy for residents, including development and monitoring of care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Daily responsibilities include conducting nutrition screenings, counseling residents and families on dietary needs, and supporting weight management and specialty diet protocols in accordance with clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements. The role also involves documenting nutrition interventions, participating in care conferences, and partnering with dining services to ensure menus and meal services align with residents’ clinical needs and preferences. The Registered Dietitian will contribute to quality assurance initiatives, staff education, and continuous improvement of nutritional services.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong expertise in Dietetics and Nutrition, with the ability to apply evidence-based practices to diverse resident populations.Candidates should possess skills in Nutritional Counseling and Weight Management to support residents in achieving and maintaining individualized health goals.Candidates should possess proficiency in Medical Nutrition Therapy, including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring for acute and chronic conditions.Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential and state licensure (as required in South Carolina) are strongly preferred.Experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar healthcare settings is beneficial.Effective communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, with the ability to work closely with clinical and dining services teams.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and resident-centered care.
